Upcoming Gallery Show:
Art of the Card
A show and fundraising project for Community Arts Phoenixville
To prepare for this exhibition, we will distribute folded notecards to artists, students and community members, requesting that they are returned decorated in some way. This could be as simple as putting a drawing on the front, or as complicated as using the card to create a sculpture, etc. We will then display and sell the cards in our gallery. This will be a great opportunity to discover local artists, to buy beautiful cards for the holiday season, and to support Community Arts Phoenixville!
To enter the show, follow these easy steps!
Step 1: Get a notecard from Community Arts Phoenixville
Step 2: Create a piece of art with it, any way that you'd like! There are no limitations and the possibilities are endless!
Step 3: Bring your notecard back to be displayed in The Community Arts Phoenixville Gallery from November 17th-December 22nd. Notecards will be sold for $10 each, with all proceeds going to support Community Arts Phoenixville. All notecards must be returned by November 10th.

The Locals: Inaugural Juried Show
Works by Sarah Detweiler
Our late spring gallery show, Collective Unraveling, featured the delicate, haunting work of local artist and Community Arts Phoenixville instructor Sarah Detweiler. Sarah explores feminine narratives through figurative paintings in oil, watercolor, and gouache. Her most recent work integrates the traditionally feminine craft of embroidery to challenge the boundaries of feminism. Visit her website to learn more.
Community Arts Phoenixville seeks artists that stretch boundaries in their studio practice and create artwork in dialogue with the contemporary world. We are open to work in all mediums. Interested artists may submit a show proposal.
Show Proposals must include:
• Artist CV
• Images of current work
• Artist statement for a solo show proposal
• Statement of intent for a group show proposal.
