Community Arts Phoenixville presents art-exhibitions year round in our light-filled, storefront gallery space located in the center of town. Our exhibitions feature established and emerging contemporary artists in a large range of mediums.

Rust to Rise

Our 2nd Annual Juried Exhibition

rust to rise.jpeg

Rust to Rise takes inspiration from Phoenixville, PA; a town that experienced industrial boom in the early twentieth century as a home to great iron and steel mills, followed by a decline in the late twentieth century as those industries left the area. Now it’s experiencing a revival through the growth of the arts, small business, breweries, and festivals.

Rust to Rise asks artists to explore themes of: regeneration, revival, rebirth, survival, gentrification, entropy, cycles, growth, collapse, and community. Themes familiar to many American small towns today.

Rust to Rise will be juried by local Phoenixville artist and business owner, Teresa Haag. Find out more about Teresa Haag here:

Prizes will be awarded for Best in Show, First Runner Up, Second Runner Up, and Community Choice.

Show Dates: September 14th-October 26th, 2019

Opening Reception & Awards Ceremony to be held on Saturday, September 14th, 2-4:30pm.
